To choose between similar shots or check an edit, display images side by side. Zoom and positioning apply to both views. Overlay mode also provides a before/after comparison with a divider. Explicit controls leave normal page scrolling available.
Example: open two portraits, zoom towards the eyes and use the same viewing position to compare sharpness or the effect of an edit.

Frequently asked questions
Can I compare more than two files?
Import several photos and switch images A and B. Two files are displayed at a time to keep comparison clear.
Does zoom modify my files?
No. It only changes the display. This tool does not re-encode photos or send them to a server.
Does the overlay automatically align subjects?
No. The images share display settings, but no automatic registration is performed. Shots with similar framing are easier to compare.
